Poetry Contest - Love Poetry - Romantic Poetry

Because I Was Afraid

We soared above the clouds,
But I was afraid of falling.

You made my legs feel weak,
But I blamed the shaky ground.

You knew I was alone,
But I knew nothing else.

You yearned for my love,
But I feared for my heart.

I wallow in regret,
Because I was afraid.
